Welcome
A welcome from our Head of Primary.
A very warm welcome to Morna Primary School. Whether you are already part of our community or discovering our school for the first time, we are delighted to welcome you. At Morna Primary, we believe every child deserves to feel happy, valued, supported and inspired each day they come to school. We are proud to offer a nurturing and positive environment where children are encouraged to grow in confidence, curiosity and independence.
Our school is built around strong relationships, high expectations and a genuine love of learning. We celebrate individuality and recognise that every child has unique strengths and talents to develop. Through a rich and engaging learning experience, we encourage our pupils to become motivated learners, organised thinkers, resilient problem-solvers, nurtured individuals and confident achievers.
We want our children to leave Morna Primary not only academically prepared, but also kind, confident and ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges of the future. Above all, we strive to create a school community where children feel safe, supported and excited to learn. We look forward to welcoming you to our Morna community.

Curriculum
The UK curriculum through meaningful, connected learning.
At Morna Primary, we believe children learn best when learning is meaningful, connected and engaging. That is why we deliver the UK National Curriculum through creative, cross-curricular topics that bring subjects together in a purposeful way. Each theme is carefully planned so that children can make links between different areas of learning. A topic such as Chocolate, for example, may include nutrition and healthy eating in Science, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in English, cocoa-producing countries in Geography, and designing packaging or recipes through Art and Design Technology.
By weaving subjects together around a central theme, children reinforce key skills and concepts across different subjects, making learning more memorable, relevant and enjoyable. Our curriculum is designed to be hands-on, immersive and well-resourced, encouraging curiosity, creativity and collaboration. Through exciting experiences, purposeful learning opportunities and high-quality teaching, we aim to inspire children to become confident learners with a lifelong love of learning.
