On the very last day of term we brought two of our traditional events together to create a very special morning.
The annual arts show consisted of a large exhibition, with many examples of our students’ best work. The primary section offered their representations of the styles of different famous artists, while the secondary section showed some impressive portraits, along with many outstanding fine art and photography pieces, which had been prepared to meet the external assessment requirements of the UK examination boards. The exhibition was accompanied throughout by secondary school musicians performing on the central stage.
The second half of the morning saw the traditional prize-giving ceremony, where outstanding performances were celebrated, along with many individual success stories where dedication and effort have led to the desired results. Our graduating class also had their moment on the stage and this included emotive speeches by Sofia and Anibal, as their representatives. We were also able to welcome Carmen Ferrer, deputy-mayor of Santa Eulalia who offered some words of support for the occasion. The event included singing performances in which the majority of our pupils took part.
